Anyone have some good advice on how to put back spin on a golf ball?

Filed Under (Corporate Logo Golf Balls) by admin on 06-04-2011

Once in a while I can make the ball go left or right, mostly unintentional. But, I have not found a way to get the ball to spin back. I have heard that you almost have to pinch or clip the ball as you come down on it. Any advice?

And why does this phenomena occur on a perfectly smooth ball as well?

Does altitude affect the normal rate of spin imparted to a golf ball by a golfclub?

Filed Under (Corporate Logo Golf Balls) by admin on 22-03-2011

TV golf announcers have said that players can’t put their normal amount backspin on the ball in Colorado because of the altitude so they have trouble making it stop on the greens – wouldn’t the ball actually spin just as much and even for a longer time in the thinner air?

What is the best golf ball for short iron spin?

Filed Under (Corporate Logo Golf Balls) by admin on 12-03-2011

I am looking for a ball that gives excellent short iron spin, probably has a urethane cover and is not a pro v 1, prov 1x, Nike one series, or Bridgestone B series as they are quite expensive. Thanks.
I strike the ball well. The courses I play aren’t that great, even fairway shots have grass that is semi long and gets between the club face and ball. However, my divots are on the target side of the ball.
