My house has a small yard, so the only way I can actually ‘practice’ is to hit my tees with my irons.
However, I notice whenever I hit my tees, they either go sideways, rolls, or simply goes high into the air and lands a few feet away from me.
Is hitting the actual tee a lot different than hitting the ball?

I am a right handed hitter. I use iron and i hit very well with it and the ball goes straight. BUT with the wood clubs, i hit it far, but the ball keeps flying to the right. Why does that happen? is it my swing? stance? please help!! thank you!

I seem to hit the ball off the tee ok–but when it comes to hitting the ball off the ground I will either top it (this is the big problem) or hit the club into the ground in back of the ball (ouch) any kind of drills or something I could practice–my husband tries to help but to no avail.

If you’re in the fairway and you take a couple of practice swings and accidentally hit the ball oh about 20 feet. What do you do? Go get the ball and place it about where you think it was with or without a penalty or must you count the stroke.

A high-speed photograph of a club hitting a golf ball is shown in the figure below. The club was in contact with a ball, initially at rest, for about 0.0018 s. If the ball has a mass of 55 g and leaves the head of the club with a speed of 3.1 102 ft/s, find the average force exerted on the ball by the club.

It only happens with my driver off the tee. I know I am not standing too close to the ball.

when most golfers hit a golf ball, the turf is torn under the past of where the golf ball was, I think they call the turf that was knocked away a divet!

I just started golfing a few years ago and up until a couple of months ago I always thought you were supposed to hit an iron shot on an upswing or by clipping it. I just started practicing hitting down on the ball, but are there any good drills to help me get used to this. I’m going out for the first time next week. Any tips drills would be really appreciated.
Also are you supposed to hit every iron with a downswing or just the short irons??
