I’m a 5’10″ male that weighs approx. 150 pounds. I have a Adam’s Golf Insight a3of driver that I hit around 150-160 straight and consistent.
Now that I think about I wonder how true the signs are at the range I was at. the range went awfully up hill and I knew I was getting some good rips.

Does it have to do with the spin on the ball?
I think I may have found my answer- for instance; when the ball comes off the club spinning counter-clockwise, it will go from right to left, but during its flight the axis on which it turns tilts such that when the ball hits the ground the spin becomes essentially top spin. The axis has “turned over” on its side.

I’m 13 and im a short hitter, i driver the ball about 180 yards and a 5 iron about 145- 150 and all of them are about 78% straight, and i only play like for 5-6 months

As of now, I drive maybe 250-280, but my ball shoots way higher than normal. How should I change my swing, body, posture, etc to make my ball go lower? I’ve heard lowering the tee helps also. Any tips?

I am 17. I am about 5’10 150. I can drive a ball between 300 and 350 yards depending on the day. Is this average, above or bellow?
Well i have won a few tournaments and I use a skycaddie as my measuring device. If you think i could be broken over someones knee than good for you remember my name and see where i am between 5 and 10 years and we’ll see whose laughing.

Learning how to drive a golf ball straight down the fairway is probably the toughest challenge for the novice golfer as well as a veteran. Golf is a game of patience and skill and I would like to share with you some of the tips that helped improve my game.
When a person decides they are going to take up the game of golf they usually just head out to the course with a couple of buddies and just wing it from there. This is probably one of the biggest mistakes a beginner can make. The hardest place to learn how to play golf is on the golf course. Most beginners have watched golf being played on TV and they assume the game is not that difficult because the pros make it look so easy.
The best place for a first time golfer to go would be the practice range. When someone tries to golf for the first time on the actual golf course it does not take long for them to see that they do not know how to drive a golf ball straight. When you start out at the practice range you don’t feel all the pressure that goes along with being on the course with a foursome standing right behind you.
Any golfer, a novice or a veteran that needs to learn how to drive a golf ball straight really has to start with the basics. Sometimes this is hard for a veteran golfer to do mostly due to their ego. When someone has been playing golf for many years the chances are good that they have picked up some bad habits and the only way they will ever be able to improve their game is if they go right back to the basics. The first thing that should be looked at is the golfers stance. If the stance is not proper and consistent they will never know how to drive a golf ball straight down the fairway. You really need to find your comfortable stance that allows you to take a complete and proper swing. There are some basic principles to follow for getting into the right stance but beyond that a golfers stance is unique to the actual golfer.
Players have a hard time making changes to how they stand or their back swing or how hard they come down through the ball because they have built up all these techniques throughout the years. The facts are the facts and if you are not consistently and yes that would be “consistently” driving the ball straight down the fairway then you need to first correct your stance. I have seen it time and time again where a veteran golfer refuses to make any changes to his golfing stance. However, having worked at a driving range for a few seasons I have witnessed more veteran golfers learn how to drive a golf ball straight down the fairway just by correcting their stance and nothing else.
Think about how many times you have taken a shot while on the course and you hear your buddy standing behind you say “you came up out of your stance” or “you didn’t keep your head down or you failed to turn your hips,” everyone of those actions involves your stance. I am telling you if you want to know how to drive a golf ball straight every time then the first thing you should do is get to the practice range and hit the ball over and over completely focusing on your body’s stance 100% of the time. This is the biggest problem for any golfer who doesn’t know how to drive a golf ball straight down the fairway every time.
I know you were probably expecting a whole bunch of other tips but the truth is when it comes to playing golf sometimes too much help will do more harm then good. Just give this article some thought the next time you are on the course and you find yourself having a difficult time hitting the golf ball straight. I know if you perfect your stance you will know how to drive a golf ball straight down the fairway with every hit.

You got that right, I have always said “a bad day of golf is better than a good day at work” I love the game. I play with my wife (who always beats me), my Father in-law (who always laughs at me for losing to my wife), and my good friend and chiropractor, who sadly passed away 3 weeks ago after fighting a brain tumor for the last year. He and I had a lot in common as I have survived six brain surgery’s, I gave him strength and he fought so hard.
God Bless You Steve my good friend, may you be playing on the greenest fairways, improving your handicap so you can laugh at and with me as well, and as you wait for our foursome to be once again, when we will play with golden clubs upon God’s finest courses, I know one day I will see you again and our friendship will not be broken until eternals end, I miss you Steve. my God given friend!

HOW TO DRIVE A GOLF BALL â 3 Essential Golf Swing Tips

How to drive a golf ball straight down the fairway is something both the beginner and experienced golfer constantly aims to improve. It’s such a great feeling to hit the ball sweetly and see the shot soar straight towards the target you’re aiming at. Then, of course, there are the benefits of less searching through the rough, sand or even the water, you’ll lose fewer golf balls and, there’s the great feeling you get when your ball lies in position A on the fairway or green.
To help you achieve this goal, here are three basics golf tips that will help you regularly and consistently drive your ball to exactly the place you want it to be:
The Stance – A correct stance is a key fundamental to developing consistently straight drives. To start, the feet should be the same width as the shoulders. The ball should be slightly in front of the middle of your stance. Your knees should be slightly bent with your weight on the balls of your feet, not on your heels. The feet, knees, hips and shoulders should all be parallel to the line pointing at the target. Lean forward from your hips keeping your back straight. To check if your back is straight, hold a club on the back of your belt and make sure the shaft is touching the back of your head. Lean forward ensuring the shaft remains in contact with back of your head as you bend forward.
The Alignment – To make sure that your alignment is correct and you are aiming at the target, place a club in front of your ball pointing at the target. Place another golf club exactly parallel to the first club and this is where you will be placing your feet for your stance. Take away the first club that is in front of the ball and set your feet in line with the second club. Now, take away the second club and you should be set up in the correct alignment.
The Grip – The golf grip is another fundamental basic that is so important to hitting the ball straight. Start by laying the top of your golf club in the fingers (not the palm) of your left hand. Wrap the rest of your hand around the grip. The vee between the index finger and thumb should be pointing towards your right shoulder. Now, regardless of the type of grip you use, place your right hand below your left hand and grip with your fingers covering the thumb of your left hand. Again the vee between you index finger and your thumb should be pointing towards your right shoulder. Your grip should be relaxed but firm. Don’t grip so lightly the club flies out of your hand when you swing or, so tightly you feel like your life depends on it. Keep the hands and arms relaxed and comfortable. (For the left handed golfer, just reverse the above.)
So, there you have it, three basic tips on how to drive a golf ball straight consistently. Put these tips into practise and, you will not only improve your game, you will also improve your golf swing and lower your scores.
